Apple Crisp
- 3 lb cooking apples
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 4 tbsp butter, cut into 1/4 in. pieces
Peel, core and cut apples into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place slices in 1-1/2 quart baking dish; toss with lemon juice to coat.
In bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Add butter; blend with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples. Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes.
