Linux on the Powerbook Lombard
Lombard Sound
If you're using kernel packages that come with your distribution, sound on the
lombard will probably work automagically. If you're compiling your own kernel,
you need to know this:
- In the 2.4 kernel, The driver the built-in sound is the dmasound_pmac
module.
- In the 2.6 kernel, the driver is snd-powermac. In the kernel
configuration menus, you find it under "ALSA PowerMac
devices" in the "Sound" section under "Device
Drivers"
